He isnt worth his contract. Thats the price you pay when you have to overpay players to play in Florida. Scotty is a decent player and will be alright.

As long as he can stay healthy he will have a good season. The question is can he?

A RW - capable of grinding and contributing - making 3 mill? I'm sure Shero will take him off Tallon's hands.

He definitely could. It's really up to him. Upshall is a fast skater that likes throwing his body around and has the ability to score 20 goals. He will definitely be given a chance to do so, unless he becomes part of the package in a trade.

But, his price is meaningless, really. Obviously he is not worth that money, but apparently another team was willing to pay nearly just as much for him as well. Upshall has value to offer and he showed that in the playoffs.

We didn't get to see what he could truly offer in a full season, so hopefully this one is it. He's a good depth guy that can create a lot of energy. We'll see what happens.

I agree he is completely overpaid for what he brings in terms of on-ice production, but I still think that bringing him in was a good move. The Panthers had to spend that money somewhere, and while Upshall may be short on talent, that isn't where his value lies in my opinion. The youngsters in Florida have all the talent they need. If Upshall can help show them the importance of hard work, playing tough, playing fearlessly, sticking up for teammates, and approaching the game professionally, I believe that his contract will show its value down the road in helping turn the young players (Huberdeau/Gudbranson/Bjugstad/Markstrom etc.) into the best players they can possibly be.

Scottie's upcoming season is not your problem to worry about since he's going to be part of the Luongo trade....

Are you serious about that second line?

Two small, injury prone wingers flanking a rookie centerman who hasn't grown into his frame yet? Seems like a good way to ensure Huberdeau's rookie season is unpleasant to me.

Mueller is centering, Huberdeau on wing, and no it is not certain until they exit camp-with Dineen and Talon the name matters little- they reward good, hard play.

The trade I heard was:

Luongo, Raymond and Schroeder for Matthias and Bjustad.

Upshall is a bum and is overpaid. If he could actually hit an empty net this team would have beaten the Devils in OT game 7.

I've seen a lot of Panther fans want him paired with Huberdeau next year and that makes sense because most panther fans that claim they know the game have no idea what they are talking about. Some even have him on the 4th line as a rookie. Yeah, your 3rd overall pick and phenom player on the 4th line? wake up idiots, go to the beach and stfu, leave the hockey sense to the ppl in the northeast and Canada.

Go Panthers, Move em to CT!!!!

Raymond is useless and one of your many bum prospects that never panned out. Luongo is aging and blew his opportunity to stay in Florida so F him. Schroeder can't even put up numbers in the AHL, we have no need for a guy like that when we have so many blue chip prospects in our system already.

Matthias is a proven 4th line energy player with some bursts of talent. Bjugstad is a stud and will be one of our top players down the road. This trade makes no sense. Read up on your NHL and prospects because you're throwing out fantasy trades that only favor one side which is your own.

Mueller and Huberdeau on the same line? Preseason hasn't even started yet, you don't know this to be true. Stop going off rumors. Huberdeau is so talented I wouldnt be shocked if he took Weiss's spot as the top line center come mid season.

I agree, these Panther fans that post and hate me as well have no idea what they are talking about. These are the ppl who actually thought keeping Olesz was a good thing. Giving Olesz a 6 year contract a good thing. They don't know the sport, just ignore their posts.

Realistically this team doesn't have enough offensive talent to compliment Huberdeau so I have no idea who is linemates will be.

It is called reading, and when you get to the big words I said: it is not certain until they exit camp. Certain means "sure thing," or "done deal," as in "absolute certainty." "Exit camp" has a lot of context clues for you, such as "exit" and "camp," which suggests to the reader that nothing will be decided until after camp. (I thought that one had been rather self-explanatory). Oh, and before you rip the Vancouver fan's proposed trade, remember what you said-- Vancouver is in the north, roughly in line with Boston and do not forget that people like yourself in the north know all about hockey, way more than we do here in the southeast, so be careful he is displaying that knowledge that is in his northern person DNA! OR--when the Vancouver fan puts that emoticon next to the trade he'd like (with the sunglasses peeling off and a winking smile) he is making a funny, as in not being serious. Is this helping you?

Move them to Connecticut? How old are you? I grew up in Connecticut going to Whalers games until 1994 and remember that empty building, do you? Does not seem so. Quite possibly you do go to the Whale games now, which also do not sell well during the work week. But then again you seem to really please yourself when you toss out a stupid little remark like that.

I am of the opinion that you could not possibly be as stupid as your history of postings suggest.

But maybe I'm wrong.

I am of the belief that his posts are "intentional pokes" to inspire one to respond to his stupidity. No one could possibly be this ridiculous.

I'm so tired of reading his posts he is not a panther fan. No fan would continue to rip his team over and over again. I just wish he would go troll a different team.
